Supplies Checklist:
- Three Different Scrapbook Papers
- Small Glue Dots
- Ribbon
- Yarn
- 12″ Paper Trimmer
- Zig Zag Scissors
- 5″ Regular Scissors
- Tag
- Zig Writter In Black
Step-By-Step Tutorial:
Gather the supplies listed above.
Cut the green dotted paper to about 5″x7″.
Cut the butterfly paper to about 5″x5″.
Attach the butterfly paper to the dotted paper at an angle, cut off the excess corners.
Attach the ribbon to the top right corner along the angle of the butterfly paper.
Cut out a birthday hat shape with the purple paper.
Cut out the same shape with the butterfly paper, but slightly smaller and attach to the purple one.
Then add a purple circle to the top of the hat and attach it to the card.
Attach the tag to the center of the birthday card.
Tie the yarn through the hole of the tag so it looks like it’s holding it onto the card. Glue down if necessary.
Write your message on the tag with a pencil first.
Trace over the message with a marker.
Next create a present looking piece with teh different papers. The purple piece is to add a dropshadow so the butterfly paper doesn’t blend in with the background.
Attach to the card.
Make more hats, attach, and attach beads with the glue dots.
Then add a ribbon to the bottom right angle of the butterfly paper to balance it out a little bit.
Glue the whole thing to the purple paper.
Cut the purple paper closer to the card with the zig zag scissors to create a nice border.
