Looking for Valentine’s Day scrapbook page ideas? Here’s how I created my scrapbook page layout:

Supplies Checklist:

Step-By-Step Tutorial:

  • Valentine's Day Scrapbook Page Gather the supplies above and print out the pictures you want to use for that scrapbook page on photo paper.
  • Scrapbook Page Ideas Then use your paper trimmer to cut the pictures out. I usually like to leave a small white border around each picture. Place your page in the trimmer. I like to do all round the edges of the paper first, then the centers. To get a nice, even edge around all the pictures, I use the pictures themselves as the guide. I line up the edge of the picture along the edge where the opening for the blade is.
  • Valentine's Day Scrapbook Page Just like with the outer edges, place the paper in the cutter so that the white line is in the center of the opening where the blade slides. Do the same thing as with the outer edges to get an even border around, line up the edge of the picture along the edge where the opening for the blade is.
  • Scrapbook Page Ideas The two pictures that weren’t just our faces, I decided I wanted to cut them down to just around us in order to reduce the empty space and to make a nice variation in the scrapbook page. I first used my regular scissors to cut all the way around us, as close to us as I can, without cutting anything off.
  • Scrapbook Page Ideas I then use clear adhesive dots in a size small to attach the pictures to the “Anna Griffin AG132″ paper – one on the green side, and one on the pink side.
  • Scrapbook Lettering How To Then I use “Provo Craft Seagull Paper Shapers” for one of the pictures and cut almost a half egg-shape border around it. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it kind of looks better if it’s not.
  • Scrapbook Page Ideas I then use “Provo Craft Mini Scallop Paper Shapers” to cut a thin border around the outside of the second picture. For this one I want to get closer to the picture, and create more of a border around it than a half egg-shape. To get a double border around this picture, I now attach it in the pink section of the paper. Then, using the “Provo Craft Victorian II Paper Shapers” I cut a half egg-shape border (like the first picture had) around the outside. Now I have a double border for more dimension and interest.
  • Scrapbook Page Layouts Now I’m going to create a custom page border on the left side of the scrapbook page layout. First I cut the cream embossed paper down to about 4-1/2″ wide. I then cut out the center line of the four squares paper to use as a border between the cream paper and the flower paper.
  • Scrapbook Lettering How To Then, I use clear adhesive dots in a medium size (for the cream paper) and the small size clear adhesive dots (for the border) to attach them to the paper. Line up the cream paper along the very edge of the flower paper. Then place the border on top, overlapping the edge of the cream paper and the flower paper. Now you have a beautiful custom border on your scrapbook layout and a little more character than before.
  • Scrapbook Page Layouts Now I’m going to make custom scrapbook lettering that will say “Be Mine” using an 18 gauge jewelry making wire. Take the round nose pliers and create a small curve for a curvy looking letter. Do not detach it from the spool yet (this image was from later in the word).
  • Valentine's Day Scrapbook Page When I get the other side of the “M” done, I cut it off from the wire spool using the diagonal cutters, being sure to leave enough room to make another curl on the other side.

I decided not to completely curl in the other side of the “M”, but instead I am going to use that curve as the bottom of the “i”.
  • Scrapbook Page Ideas I then use small clear adhesive dots to attach it to the “Anna Griffin AG006″ paper. I would actually have probably used a Spray Adhesive, but I didn’t have one on hand. I’m not sure if this would work properly on wire, though. If you’ve tried it or have a better solution, comment and let me know!
  • Scrapbook Page Layouts Then I use the “Provo Craft Mini Scallop Paper Shapers” to cut around the outside of the letters to create a thick border.
  • Valentine's Day Scrapbook Page To add some dimension, I attach both words onto the pink plumes paper with the medium clear adhesive dots and cut a larger border around that with the “Provo Craft Lace Paper Shapers”.
  • Scrapbook Lettering How To Finally, I just play around with the page layout by arranging it without attaching it, including the stickers and pictures I’ve chosen to use. I do this until I get it the way that I like it, and then I attach it with the clear adhesive dots.
  • Scrapbook Page Ideas And that’s my Valentine’s Day scrapbook page layout. I generally try to make at least one scrapbook page a month (sometimes more depending on the month) so check back for more step by step scrapbook page ideas!
